Higher Education Politics & Economics is an academic, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal for higher education researchers, political scientists, social scientists, and economists who explore the politics and economics of higher education (Print ISSN 2577-7270 & Online ISSN 2577-7289).

The journal features research and analysis from from all regions of the world contributing new insights into current issues of interest to academics, institutional leaders, policymakers and the public, exploring complex political and economic issues including:

  • Immigration
  • Campus free speech
  • Free college plans
  • Guns on campus
  • Performance-based funding
  • Sexual assault
  • Dual enrollment
  • Data privacy

Published bi-annually, the journal encourages submission of manuscripts by US and international scholars that use quantitative or qualitative methods. Articles combine disciplinary methods with critical insights to investigate major issues shaping national, state, and institutional contexts.
